PRESCHOOL EVENTS AND TRADITIONS
Mother Goose Rhyme Day
For one morning each January, our parlor is transformed into the land of Mother Goose as the preschool classes join together to celebrate Mother Goose Rhyme Day.
The preschoolers recite the rhymes and songs they work hard to choose and memorize. It is a fun morning of singing, dancing, and rhymes!
In clever, creative costumes with handmade props, characters like Little Miss Muffet, Little Boy Blue, Georgie Porgie, and Humpty Dumpty share their rhymes.
The clocks and mice from "Hickory-Dickory-Dock" usually make an appearance and a few Jacks being Nimble will jump over their own candlesticks.
Stars twinkle, a cow jumps over the moon, mittens are lost, and it is all over too soon!
