Volunteers are one of Villa Academy’s most valuable resources. As we work together, our diverse backgrounds blend to create new enthusiasm and ideas that shape the character of our school community. The stronger the community, the more benefits our children receive. Please commit yourself in some way to help accomplish our goals for the upcoming year. We cannot do it without everyone’s help!
A complete description of each committee and activity is listed. For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact a Parent Association Chairperson or Faculty/Staff coordinator listed. Please place a check on each committee or activity for which you wish to volunteer. Indicate day and time availability where noted. The appropriate Parent Association Chairperson or Faculty/Staff coordinator will contact you.

All volunteers, new and returning, are required to attend a Volunteer Training session each fall. Several opportunities are scheduled to accommodate family schedules. For the safety of our children, and in accordance with the Archdiocese of Seattle, background checks will be requested of all volunteers. Please complete the Volunteer Background Check Authorization and return it to the school prior to volunteering.
If you wish to volunteer as a driver during field trips and events, the additional Field Trip Driver Form must be completed and returned to the Main Office.

After logging into the system (you can request your password if you don’t have it) take the following steps to sign up for volunteer positions:
- From the Villa VPA menu, select Sign Up
- Click on the event or position for which you wish to volunteer
- That will take you to the description of the event, click on the blue event name
- Click on the word Open for the specific volunteer slot you would like.
Many events have specific days or dates, others are general school year activities. If you have questions about a specific event you can contact the event chair shown in the system, or Marcie Cheung. If you have technical questions about the sign up system, please contact Jennifer Skahen.
