A rich and compelling academic program, small classes, supportive environment, and a culture of stewardship make for a dynamic educational experience. Villa Academy sets the academic bar high, challenging students to look at the world from a variety of perspectives and encouraging them to think critically and creatively.

Our program features classes that enhance and build on each other. Imagine an 8th grade literature unit on Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men that is supported by a community service project where students work with developmentally disabled children. Or a 2nd grade social studies class about Japan that is supplemented by a Haiku project in writing, a Japanese sumi-e brush painting project in art — or even a Japanese lunch prepared by our chef! Making connections between and across core subject areas – as well as international languages, fine arts and physical education – makes subject matter come alive by providing students with a multi-dimensional understanding of our ever-changing world.

Inspired by the philosophy and practices of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, dedication to excellence, the development of the whole person, and an emphasis on compassion and service to others are the foundation of a Villa Academy education. Students leave Villa Academy prepared to apply skills, values and attitudes of life-long learning.
