Our Catholic Identity
Founded by St. Frances Xavier Cabrini (Mother Cabrini) more than 100 years ago, Villa Academy aims to build on her legacy by offering a faith-based, values-driven, educational program centered on the belief that each child is a unique and treasured gift from God. Mother Cabrini sought to bring the love of Christ to all she encountered; our trustees, staff, faculty and students look to her example for inspiration and guidance in all we do.
Villa Academy is a Catholic school and approximately 50% of our families are Catholic; however, we welcome and embrace families of all faiths and traditions. It is that unique faith-diversity that distinguishes Villa Academy among our peer schools and makes for such a rich educational experience.
Mother Cabrini was known for her compassion toward society’s most vulnerable, including the poor, immigrants and orphaned children. Through Villa Academy’s community service program, our students and their families learn about our shared responsibility toward those most in need and how they can make a difference in someone’s life. Community service is an integral part of the Villa Academy culture and helps to foster an understanding and love for the diversity of the human family.
